Hello! My name is Erika Sjoblom. I am an illustrator, designer, and fine artist based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in May 2023 where I majored in illustration.
I grew up surrounded by nature, so my passion for art and wildlife started at a young age. I was also apparently the first person in my preschool class to start drawing smiley faces.
My work is bright, whimsical, lively, and centered around nature and wildlife. I often work with various media including watercolor, ink, acrylic, paper cut, textiles, and digital. I hope to inspire those who view my work to appreciate the beauty of the world around them and take note of the amazing creatures that live on the Earth alongside us.
When I’m not drawing quirky birds and fish in my sketchbook, I enjoy listening to music, collecting children’s books, and looking for Lake Michigan beach glass with friends and family.
